The aim of the sub-project A03 is to research an injection moulding-based technology for the production of fibre reinforced plastic composites (FRP) with pre-fixed reinforcing fibres protruding into the sub-components to form local graded property transitions. The mechanical properties of the textile-reinforced plastic components are to be significantly improved through the targeted modification of the fibre orientation. The focus is on increasing the tensile strength and stiffness as well as setting optimised failure characteristics with regard to uniaxial and superimposed stress states in the continuous FRP/plastic transition area.
